Cause: Air in the clutch line

Reason: Was sucked in (in one of three locations) when you released your foot off the clutch petal. You can bleed the line of air but it WILL fail again at some future time....

Locations: Master Clutch cylinder seals, flex hose end connections (at the end of the metal tubing clutch line, just before reaching the slave unit location), slave cylinder seals.

Expense Order: master clutch cylinder seals or master cylinder, clutch line, slave cylinder

Investigation:
1. Check clutch line hose for end connector fitting wetness (easy) and hose appearance to rule out hose.
2. The clutch master cylinder can be seen from under side of the driver side dash. It can start to leak at where the forked plunger comes out of the master cylinder body. One can change out the cylinder seals from this location by pinching off or disconnecting and plugging the supply hose connection to the master brake reservior, have a rag to catch a modest amount of fluid in place, and removing the internal circlip with holds the master cylinder plunger with the seals and spring in place. This works well when the internal cylinder is in good shape. Seal kit is fairly inexpensive and this may take as little as 1/2 hour to accomplish. Drivers seat out really helps...alternate is to change out the full clutch master cylinder.
3. The clutch slave is expensive...same work as doing a complete clutch job. It would be the last on my list
