I'd have to agree that this car is not restored - well maintained, fixed to good running condition, sure, but unless everything on it is showroom-new it doesn't even pass for KBB "Excellent" condition.

That said, $4k sounds to me to be on the high side of a reasonable price. $6500 is absolutely nuts. At $4k, you are in the same price arena as a much newer c900Tc with fewer miles, better mechanicals, and more features. IMHO, I'd be looking to pay around $3k for this car, maybe $3500. And that's ONLY if they show you who rebuilt the transmission, and what "rebuilt" means. Rebuilt may mean "new synchros" or "new pinion bearing" but *should* mean new synchros, bearings, chains, and likely shift forks for a car with that mileage.
