I switched from the stock Pirelli P8 185/65-15 to P6 (no longer made, though they kept the name) 195/60HR15. A marked improvement. Later, I changed to Yokohama AVS Intermediate 195/60VR15. A huge improvement over even the P6's. I had 2 sets of those then moved on to those Dunlop A2 something. By then, the car was getting old and I wanted to drive it less aggresively (and also save some money). The Dunlops were very good.
Without having doing tire tests, I'd say that the Dunlops were almost as good as the Yokohamas. They weren't very expensive. In short, my #2 choice and my #1 choice if you want to save a little money and stop driving like a maniac.
