Hey Gordon,
I'm glad you like the seats. They sit about the same height as stock or maybe slightly lower, but there isn't much difference. I actually may have liked an even lower height since I'm tall but it's not a big deal.
The Corbeau brackets aren't bad, although not stellar. I had to fabricate long metal plates for each side so I could make the seat sit further back since I'm 6'3". The brackets don't slide as far back as the stock brackets. It's a bit tough to put in the bolts toward the center console, but I managed.
I've had the seats for a few years now and I don't put many miles on the car and you can definitely see that the driver's seat is used a bit more than the passenger side seat but it's not bad looking. The seat fabric where your butt will be and your lower back just has a couple little creases in it because I assume the fabric has stretched slightly. One gripe is that the adjustment for the seatback isn't very precise, the adjustments are bit wider than I would like, but this isn't terrible. You'd have to spend a bit more money for a Sparco or Recaro for something better and I think for the money, these are good alternatives. Another idea is to find a set of decent recaro seats out of an early 90's VW on ebay and fabricate your own brackets or have someone do it for you. You may actually be able to make an adapter to make a new seat fit the original C900 brackets but I'm not sure if the seat would sit too high after that.
Good luck with all of this...
E-mail me if you need further info because I hardly ever check TSN anymore.
