Here's one pic ( if the link works ). Guess which seat has the new skin...
The platform covers on the front seats aren't as smooth and tight as the OEM covers were but I kinda think that's okay since the front corner stitching was the first to go in the original covers. The way these fit takes the strain off the stitching under weight ( and I've got way too much of that ).
It wasn't exactly an easy job but was fun in a strange way - sure has improved the way my SPG looks and rides. One of the platform wires was broken in the driver's seat so I put in a new platform. One tip for anyone trying this at home: getting the new skins over the headrests can be very difficult but a piece of cake if the foam is covered first with a plastic grocery bag - the skin then slips on easily and smoothly.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the end result.
When the rainy weather slows down, I'll try to get some more pics and post in my gallery.
