DDun, for next time; remove three alternate bolts and then slack off the remaining. As you pry the clutch cover out re-insert one of the removed bolts with a spacer (like a big nut) on it but between the cover and flywheel. Work your way around like that. Then your spacers don't tend to get dislodged and fall down. Then install the ring and remove all the bolts and spacers. If you use nuts that thread on the bolts you can also hold the bolt still after screwing it into the flywheel a few threads and back the nut(s) away from the flywheel to compress the pressure assembly.
