Because
a) my local AutoZone-ish store had pairs of Sylvania "194 LL" long-life bulbs on sale but no spec sheet for their wattage, so I didn't get them but
b) I looked them up online and found *something* (that I can't find now to link to; it wasn't the manufacturer site) that said they were like 3.7 watts or so.
I dunno what to believe. Low-heat LEDs sound better and better...
