Lars, Simply making the TPS "click" won't necessarily ensure that it is working. It contains two sets of contacts and might click like crazy without properly opening or closing those contacts. Pop the connector off of the top of the throttle position switch and connect an ohm-meter or continuity tester between the forward-most and center pins of the switch. There should be no continuity (contacts are open) with the throttle closed (idle position). Open the throttle and the contacts should close at nearly full throttle. If you have continuity on those two pins with the throttle in idle position then the LH brain is providing full load enrichment at idle (and the switch is messed up). When you connect your tester to the center pin and the rear-most pin continuity should exist with the throttle closed and break just as the throttle is opened. You adjust the points at which these contacts open and close, if you have a good TPS, by loosening the mounting screws and rotating the TPS. Check also that the center pin on the harness connector is continuous with ground. The other two wires go to the LH brain. The green/red wire goes to terminal 12 of the LH and the gray wire goes to terminal 3 of the LH. Since this is an '86 car there is a great likelihood that the insulation has disolved near the connector (inside the sheath) and wires are shorting or broken so be sure to do those wire continuity tests and maybe even slice open the sheath and take a look at their insulation. I have two '86 cars of my own (1 SPG,1 turbo) and little by little I've rewired about 40% of the harness under their hoods for just such conditions. Good luck, let us know what you find.
