Front hit dirt bank, something bent? Posted by Caarl [Email] (#447) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Caarl) on Mon, 27 Mar 2006 08:58:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
First the good news. My teenaged daughter has been driving our `84 900 8V NA and she has been assimilated! She loves the car and all other Saabs. You should see her look of envy at my 9-5. And she's tremendously proud of learning to drive a stick.
The bad news: she ran off the road and hit a low dirt bank on the opposite side of a shallow ditch. Backed it onto the road and drove it home. There was a lot of mud shoved in under the front bumper and the bumper got pushed an inch or so the side. I hosed the mud out, gave it a good look-over and a test drive, and it seemed fine. But the front end looks like it's riding about an inch high, judging by the height of the fender arch above the wheels. I did not notice this until a couple weeks after the incident so I can't say that it happened right then (but what else could it have been)?
Any idea what is damaged? This car has only 180k miles (barely broken in!) and we'd like to keep it fixed up.
