i've an 83 900s hatchback. manual. owned her since 6 months old. about 200th miles. last year she got a new [rebuilt] transmission. this year she got new heating/cooling system & hoses & etc. last week she died. got juice. mechanic said timing chain. also said "car aint worth it" & only shop in BR LA that works on saabs said "not interested" in fixing. i post to all knowledgeable saab fans please help...
is car worth it? i feel so. but will she last me some years or am i simply postponing parting out by a few months.
how much trouble is involved with timing chain? i know there's more that'll need to be checked. also cost. but that is not issue.
i might know saabs but am not mechanic... does any one know anybody in the state of Louisiana who works on saabs, willing to work on saabs, knows how to work on saabs?
thanks yall.
