I need help troubleshooting a problem I am having with my power windows. The window goes down fine however once it gets down, it won't go back up all the time. I have been troubleshooting it as best I can doing the following:

1. I have taken the door panel apart and checked the operation of the motor, it goes down fine but it was rubbing quite a bit so I greased the pivot pints that I could easily reach. I used a synthetic grease.
2. When I press the up switch, I can hear a slight click in the motor but the window doesn't always go up. If I move the swith to the left and right while holding it in the "go up" position, I can actually hear a ticking sound that correlates with my movements in the switch at the power motor and if I hit just the right spot, the window will actually go up.
3. I have taken apart the switchpack and found that the contacts were significantly blackened. I put some conductive grease on it to see if it would help and cleaned the contacts at the same time with minimal success.
4. The window switch pack was replaced about 2 1/2 yrs ago but I use the switch almost every day even in the winter.

So the question I have is should I replace the switchpack or could it be the window motor? I am thinking it is the switchpack and that it was killed due to an overcurrent situation because of the lack of grease on the window slides. Any thoughts? I would rather not pay $180 for a switch pack if it is the power window motor.
