Thanks for the great advice. I have had the switch pack apart but I probably should have told you the year of the car - a '91 (in case you couldn't tell from the price of the switch pack. Also, I will be inheriting my wifes car in the next few months so it only needs to last for the next few months.
So for swapping out the switches, I don't know if this is possible with the entire switchpack being one unit. I will try now that I have greased up the window scissor unit. The motor doesn't appear to be losing any speed as it goes up. It does take a slightly longer time to go up but I would guess this is just because of the weight. Thanks again for the advice.
