Yep, crank position sensor. I verified for my own peace of mine by tweaking the distributor all over the place - absolutely no effect on timing.
The car runs and drive pretty well - it's hard to compare against a '90 SPG and an '88 convertible, but it's certainly not gutless. It doesn't seem to run warmer than normal, or misbehave in any way.
For testing purposes, I swapped EZK computers (I had a spare) and the timing changed, but it still isn't right.
I have no idea...
