hey all-
I finally got the t16v into my 80' 99, everything seems good but no spark.
ran all the tests in my bentley manual and all checks out, tho i'm wondering about the .4v-4v (can't rmember the exact #'s) that your supposed to see on the hall sensor leads while cranking, seemd like it wasn't going all the way down to .4v or whatever, but maybe my cheapie dmm isn't quick enough? I was getting a fluctuating voltage across the coil (1 and 15), but no spark AT ALL. Only thing (start laughing now) is i wrapped my coil in rubber and ziptied it in place coz there was nowhere convenient to mount it. Does the coil need a ground? obviously there is no ground terminal (one goes to ign+, other goes to the ign module) but is it through the case of the coil? yeah, I'm new at this! any ideas?
thx!
Zac
sorry, i know it's not strict performance question, but my car will defintely be way, waaay faster with a spark!
