Hi! Congradulations on the find! A 9000Aero is a whole lot more car than a 900 could ever be although I am a big 900 Turbo buff. They soak up the miles on long road trips and are usually quiter plus you can't beat that 2.3 liter. You can get around 275 to 300 hp somewhat easy. Maptune makes a trionics box for about 600$ plus maybe 1500$ in exhaust and maybe bigger injectors and your driving with the heavy hitters bud! They are quiet a bit more spendy to soup up and maintain but it's a 9000 so it is what it is and it does what it does. I love the factory installed Recaros!! Now. I don't think you're going to get much better or better at all mileage. I've seen 26 mpg on the freeway but my 900 will get 28 on the highway if driven sensibly, but who the hell does that right!! I think once you step into a 9000 there is no going back to a 900 for a daily commuter. Just get it checked out by a qualified SAAB technician for sure. Good luck!
