Think I might have broken a brake bleeder valve...

As in my prior post, I was in the process of replacing my front brake calipers, pads, and rotors. I decided to flush and refill the fluid as well.
The front work went perfectly; however, when I went to turn the left rear bleeder screw (to flush the rear brake system), it feels like I snapped the screw at the base. I stopped turning it, had my wife come out and step on the brakes with the ABS pump running, and there are no leaks.
Do I button it up and leave well enough alone? Do I bite the bullet and see if I did snap it (meaning, try to remove it)?
For now, only the front brake system has fresh fluid; the rears are still full of old (though not super dirty, just an amber color) fluid. I'm afraid of what I might be in for. Then again, I could be wrong; it could just be that the screw is turning like it's supposed to, but it sure doesn't look that way.
What would you do?
Joe
