This car is NOT mine, but it's identical (same interior and exterior color, engine, model year, transmission) to the one that I have. I'd have bought it myself if I wasn't stuck out here in Hawaii! Based upon the condition, the asking price looks good to me.

Yes, from what people have said on this BB, the 85 and 89 model years were the only ones to offer the turbo sedan; not all of them were 5 speeds.

I think it's a pretty neat car and I'm not getting rid of mine, but I think you (Desmond Jones) should have fun with the car and paint it like a racecar if it will make you happy. You're not ruining a major part of SAAB history. It's an uncommon car, but not many people desire that type of car. Also, SAAB lovers seem to be good at building the exact car they desire, so anyone who wants a 5 speed turbo sedan can install a 5 speed turbo engine into a sedan body and be perfectly happy with the result.
