great, just great need a little bit of help please Posted by vvack0matic [Email] ![]() ![]() |
the car had a busted driver where the cup was separated from the shaft on the passenger-side. not even a week ago i replaced it, everything was good untill today, i thought to do a deep cleaning underneath to locate the drips coming from the gearbox,
after i was all the way under the car by the steering rack, i saw the equalizing pressure tube that runs from bellow to bellow was not hooked up, (thats what i get for having someone else put the rack in)
re-applied the tube and continued to clean,
it wasnt till i noticed a little bit of cv joint grease on the motor above the driver on the drivers-side of the motor, after closer inspection of the driver i found that the cup is broke off its shaft to, now what the heck!, is this a normal thing for all classic saab that the cup separate off the shaft for no reason, or is there a reason i dont know of?
now seeing i need to take the drivers-side flange out of the gearbox, so i can replace the inner-bearing i found i have a problem, i dont know how the speedo cable comes out of the flange, or how it goes together again?
(the gearbox drips are coming from the bolts that hold the back plate on)
thanks
