Crankshaft pulley - nut is off - new problem...

1992 900S CV - crankshaft pulley needs replacement - verified pulleys were slipping...

I got back to the job today and used the Townsend method of using the starter to break the crankshaft not free. Two tries and it was loose enough to spin off by hand.

But now I can't seem to get the crankshaft pulley off the crankshaft - it seems like the center most ring of the pulley that contacts the crankshaft is not slipping off the shaft far enough to release - any suggestions how to get this piece off?

Would some extra silicone grease on the crankshaft help it slide off more easily?
