vsfoxe: Yeah, the way I've started it the last two times is by putting the key in Run, then jumping directly from the battery to the appropriate starter solenoid terminal. That spins the engine, and it starts right up.
Roy: I'm not aware of a relay in the starter circuit. AFAIK, Pin 50 of the ignition switch goes straight to the starter solenoid. I haven't looked at the wiring diagrams - did I miss something?...
thorsen: A momentary switch is a must. I *think* that the defroster switch works that way - it engages a time relay, and I don't recall it having an "off" and "on" position, though I may be mistaken. I think/hope I can modify a standard dash switch so it doesn't stay on if the defroster switch idea is a no-go.
