Hi All,
I just did a brake job yesterday (rotors and pads) on my 1985 SPG. One rotor seemed warped and pads were worn, so I figured why not just replace everything. I also put in new hardware (U-pins, clips, spring). I bought the special tool and screwed in the piston flush to the face of the caliper and set the pads like the Bentley says. I did adjust the ebrake cables before I set the pads, did I screw something up? I hear the passenger side dragging, like just before the brake job and disconnecting the ebrake cable doesn't seem to help. Did I really just have a seized caliper? The piston moved freely, since I was able to screw it in just fine. Is there something screwy with the ebrake mechanism inside the caliper? I am going to try and screw in the piston again and see if it helps just in case it's a matter of adjustment, but I was wondering what the chances are of a seized caliper? Thanks!
Ram
