door locks up

I have a great 1997 Saab 900 SE convertible. In last one month I'm facing an unusual problem with it though. For three times, the driver side door gets locked and won't open when I tried to open it (by remote or key). Luckily, the passenger side door works well, which allows me to squeeze in. I tired to open the door from inside by pulling the window lever on top of the window (door handle inside and out does not help). Except one time most recently (3rd time of this problem), I could not open the door this way. And the alarm went off every time I open the passenger side door.
The day after this problem came up first time, I took the car to local Saab dealer. They found no problem with lock or door. Actually, the door worked just fine. It happened again few days later. But next morning, the door worked just fine. Then it happened yesterday afternoon again. I entered from the passenger side door (alarm went off). This time, I tried to pull the door lever and surprisingly the door opened.
This is a baffling and awkward problem for me. Did anyone experience similar problem with Saab? Can anyone advice me on possible cause and way to resolve it? Could it be due to hot weather (90F and up). I'll be extremely grateful for your help.
Yours,
JO
