I like to use an armor all or similar product on most all of the outside rubber and plastic.
As to the dash, always put a sunlight reflector in the window when parked. I have a very shiney silver with some type of insulation that rolls out. It is much better than the sunglasses type (the one with a pair of wire hoops and fabric covering). You can also get a foam/material pad to overlay the dash, most often seen on cars with a cracked dash. I know, it's like putting plastic covers on the couch, or a plastic runner down the hall carpet...
If you find anything that *really* works on the dash, let me know!
