Don't use the ArmourAll type products on the rubber spoiler trim or you will get streaks down your paint when it rains or you wash the car. They are tough to remove. This is usually only visible if you have a dark-bodied car.
A few things about the spioler:
-Periodically use a hose to blast out the two drain holes atop the rear spoiler.
-They don't really get dried out, they just get dirt deep in the porus surface which makes them look like crap.
-Swimming pool algecide works great to remove the dirt buildup.
-Don't get car wax on it. It is VERY difficult to remove.
-You may be able to get the wax and pine tar off with GOJO cream-style hand cleaner or an auto body paint prep solution like "SherWil Clean" or "PrepSol" from an auto body supply store, and a tooth brush.
-If you live in an environment that uses salt in the winter, replace all the visible mounting screws with stainless steel and add a glob of silicone at the point where the screw enters the moulding. (This is only for the convertibles with moulding on the doors. The screws are on the inside door edge near the mirror).
Now to answer your question:
I use Thompsons Water Seal. Yes that's right, the deck coating. Clean the spoiler VERY WELL before applying or you will seal anything beneath the Thompsons. Mask your car so as not to get any on the body. If you do get some on, wipe it off immediately.
Another product that works well is RaggTop convertible top sealer. It's a sealer designed for fabric convertible tops.
