Yes, the easiest way is to remove the headlight. Cut the wires off the sensor right where they come in. Put a 7/8 inch deep-walled socket (12 point preferred so as to get the correct angle out the headlight hole) on a nice long breaker bar. Hit the O2 sensor with a bit of flame (MAPP Gas preferred) and it comes right out. Once you break it free with the breaker bar, use a shorter ratchet to run it out.
I then clean the threads with a wire brush style battery terminal cleaner and start threading the new one in by hand before using the wrench. No need to remove the elbow. Just did one a few days ago this way.
BTW, I didn't use my fancy Oxy sensor wrench for this. However, it is stamped 7/8 - 22mm so apparently either socket size will fit.
