new Saab 900 1991 Turbo-oil leak, yikes!

Hello, I picked up a 1991 Saab 900 Turbo on Monday and posted earlier about replacing the radiator hose and got some very helpful responses. I am doing it this weekend.
Now my problem is there is a pretty good oil leak. After being parked, the car deposits an oil stain about the diameter of a "Big Gulp" cup mouth (the 32 ounce drink from 7-11). The weird thing is there was no oil leak when I test drove the car last week and there were no stains on the ground. Granted the car had not been driven in months. So I climbed under the engine pretty far and there was coagulated oil all over everything. It looked like the Exxon valdez spill or something. So now I'm freaking out. My questions are:
1. The head gasket was replaced a year ago. Is it possible it was replaced incorrectly?
2. What other areas are suspicious for leaks and what should I check?
3. Is this symptematic of older Saabs and should I not worry?
The reason I got this car is to get rid of my saab 1999 wagon. I am not looking to get into another high maintenance vehicle. I also was told that these cars rock in the snow, my job takes me through the mountains of Colorado all winter long so I need somehting that charges!
I am going to the repair shop friday for something else and want to discuss this with them. I am hoping to have a little knowledge before I go in.
Thanks for any responses. Steve
