i hate it when that happens! Get a clean piece of a carboard box, hopefully large enough to cover from wheel to wheel and radiator to firewall (use two pieces if needed) and put under the car. do it overnight or whatever period you had the noticed the leak. Then we can get a look at where it's coming from.
Also, next time it's cold, and maybe before you do the above test, reach in with your left hand the try to tighten the oil filter. You want to turn it towards the driver. That would be clockwise viewed from under the filter, the normal way to tighten a bolt or nut. If it moves, or is slimy with oil, I bet that is part of (if not all) you problem. I changed an oil filter once from an aftermarket to a saab filter. the old filter left a rubber gasket on mount that I missed. BIG mistake to just put the new filter on over it. I lost three quarts of oil as I drove to the gas station. I looked like a saab version of the exxon valdez....
let us know what you find on the carboard leak pattern...
