Well, I slapped on some Shoe Goo all over the pinhole, and it has held up for a couple days now. I think it might work.
I replaced this hose because the bypass valve (insane Saab update that never worked...) was shot and I had already put in copper tubing to bypass the bypass valve. I didn't like that look and installed the older style heater hoses that do not use the bypass valve.
Unfortunately, the new hose had a pinhole leak in it (as if someone pushed a needle into it...that's how small the hole is). Brand new, and already a problem.
I had the a/c compressor out because I was replacing the water pump and alternator bushings, so I also did the hoses at the same time. As I look at the configuration now, there probably is no need to remove the compressor just to replace the hose, but it sure is a tight squeeze to work that hose off and on with the compressor bracket in the way.
Thanks for the help, and I hope the Shoe Goo lasts (so far it's help up the rear window bottom canvas on the convertible top for 2 years!).
