I support your speeding Lewis, even if these other guys don't. My '84 900 still does 95 on the freeway with the AC on, and I can't hate that. Last night I found out that my '92 9000 turbo is pretty much maxed out at 135 MPH. On the 405 North. I don't think driving fast is unsafe, as long as the tires, the brakes, and the driver are up to it. When you drive fast you are REQUIRED to pay more attention to the road, you won't pick up your cell and make a call, you won't be doing makeup or messing with the radio. Because you're already occupied.
Germany has about half of the deathers we do in America per 100,000 miles traveld on the autobahn, and some parts of that still have no speed limits. Traffic cops there mainly look for idiots clogging up the fast lane and tailgating dangerously, because those actions are more dangerous than speeding. Plus, these Saabs handle so nicely at high speeds, its almost a shame not to use them to thier full potential. That's what they were built for...
