it's really difficult to give an estimate. Miles do not equate usage of the clutch, or type of usage of the clutch. The more you keep the clutch depressed waiting for traffic, lights, or the usual stuff the more pressure is on the seals. the more cycles you do on the clutch the more wear on the seals, the less time between cycles the less time to recover from internal issues in the master. It's kind of like a leak down test on your engine. Short term may be ok, but repeated usage over shorter time may expose an issue. and the remark about one going after the other is somewhat true. if they are both somewhat weak and you make the master like new it *could* overpower the slave and blow out the seals in the slave, but it's *not* a for sure.
I'd say to check the area around the slave (that includes the right front as fluid can run that way), the flexible portion of the hydralic line, and the area inside the car near the clutch. If you are *not* adding fluid, be very certain of this, then the master is allowing fluid past the internal seals as you push the pedal. sort of like an old bicycle pump that won't pump tires anymore. The rebuild kit for that is less than $10. About an hour to put it in (I remove the drivers seat so that I can walk the next day) taking your time. You'll need more brake fluid too.
let us know how it goes.
