I've been restoring a 1990 turbo convertible with an automatic tranny and am shocked at how weak it is from a dead stop. Please don't go into the I shoulda bought a 5-speed harangue -- I get that. I've had 2 900S cars in the past, an 84 3-door, and am 86 4-door, both with manual trannys.
Is the automatic really this anemic, or is there something I can do to get more pick-up. Now set to stock specifications and running well (22-34 MPG). Any suggestions?
