When it shifts from 1-2 I could get rubber sometimes in my 85. I worked on someones 92 and it was a PIG from 0.
My car ran particularily well.
All I did was the 3.0 FPR, timing about 18ish, played with the APC and base boost was 7-8 I think. I disabled the brake switch thing to the APC, but I forget how right now.

Autos are much better as "point and squirt" cars, great at highway speeds.
I bought my black 85 out of the back of some used car lot in Charleston SC for $1800 back in 97 and got 50k or so out of it w/ just a turbo rebuild ($100) and doing the front end. Finially blew the trans (low fluid=burnt clutches), but rebuilt it. However the trans is sitting in the garage, the egine is in NY, the turbo has been on 3 cars and the body has been crushed. think that car was a donor for maybe 6-8 other cars.
---
I'd think a NA intake and intake cam may wake that car up. The smaller turbo too.
