You have pulled dipstick I'd assume and made sure your oil is not thin as water and reeking of gas? Oil filter has been changed fairly recently? Idle speed isn't dipping bizarrely low at times? And you've removed sensor and its mouth is not plugged up with sludge? Wire and push-on terminal may look sound but you might want to put a probe on it and figure out where it runs from and run a continuity check from further up the line.
I'd say the sensors are probably bullet-proof except for occasionally opening up at a seam and seeping oil but I think they're a universal item and you could borrow or buy one cheap to check yours if you doubt that.
Some say they've had oil pressure relief valve trouble but do everything else first.
