Thanks, jtm... The trim pieces on my car appear to be thin aluminum and not plastic but also look like they could be very easily damaged during R&R. Guess the safest route would be to carefully mask everything off and paint in place ( I've got a can of Wurth's satin black ). Over twenty years time, the paint on the end edges of the pieces has worn off creating a thin aluminum "line"... just want these things solid black again.
