when you pull on the ww switch do the wipers do about three passes? if so then at least some of the system is up. also check the wipers on the headlights, do they do the dance too?
Easy way to test a part of the system is to open the hood and disconnect the washer line in the radiator area. The line comes down the hood and goes across the top of the radiator towards the right side of the car to the res and pump. there should be an inline connector to allow removing the hood. pull this apart and do the ww switch again. if you get water there then the most likely issue is the jets on the hood are plugged (wax, dirt, etc). I like getting a piece of stranded copper wire and stripping back to just one piece, use it in the holes in the jets from the outside and see if you can clean them.
If no water (and no sound from the pump) then hot wire the pump to see if it's working or not. there may be a fuse on the main block, have to check in the daytime.
I think that if the wipers do the 3-4 pass you need to look at other than the switch.
let us know what you find.
