I just finished doing this a couple of weeks ago. I followed Bentley to a point but also the "Fix My Saab" guys (http://www.twinsaabs.com/) - just loosen the caliper and zip tie it up to the spring and out of the way. No need to remove the rotor. As to the torque, my torque wrench only goes up to about 110 ft-lbs, so I used a long (3 foot) cheater bar and went as tight as I could. I understand there are devices (multipliers?) that will allow you to measure torques in that range, but I think I fully seated the axle nut with my long cheater bar - nothing has come apart yet! Just a note, Bentley recommends using new nylon lined nuts for the ball joints so try to locate some of the correct size ahead of time - I was part way through the process when I needed to go out and find some - word to the rookie (from another rookie) read through the entire process before starting, and locate all of the "stuff" you are going to need!
