Wow, thanks for the reply. Fuel filter (5K miles on it) and throttle body are clean, the tires are perelli's that came with it, still in good shape, I could try pumping those up maybe a little. I'll check the specs.
On the expressway, I'm going the speedlimit, which puts me just over 3K rpm's. like 3150 or something in that range. I don't do any jackrabbit starts, once in a while, I'll make her go faster. but usually I'm putting along, observing the landscape.
I really enjoy this car and I've already made up my mind that I'm going to keep her for good. there's minor body rust issues I want to deal with and I'm considering repainting the whole thing someday. So putting in a manual is something that isn't out of the question. but I'm waiting for hard tranny failure signs first you know? other than a very small leak (a quarter size puddle once a week on the garage floor)with the red fluid (not the gear box oil, recently flushed and changed also), I'm not having any tranny issues at this time.
I'm on the fence with the exhaust system upgrade. so given how I'm driving, you don't think I'd see very much positive change in mpg? that's how it's sounding. there's only one way to find out, but I need to get a burglar alarm in this car first.
thanks for your help, I'm sure you'll hear more from me, haha!
