First, put in your turbo distributor and make the proper vacuum hose connection to the intake manifold so it retards under boost. My guess is that the EZK may not be able to back the timing off enough to compensate for boost. Set your timing at no more than 16deg BTDC - maybe a bit less for caution's sake.
Good, you've got the right AIC valve in there for the LH 2.4 ECU.
You're in kind of a tricky situation with '88 because the LH 2.4 ECU for '88 doesn't have an '88 Turbo equivalent that you can drop right in. The LH 2.4 ECU for later year Turbos is slightly different (besides the program in the EPROM) than the '88 LH 2.4 ECU. You may not be able to pop an EPROM or an ECU from a later Turbo in there and have it work properly. But, if you know an adventurous person whose willing to loan you their turbo ECU and let you try it, it might be worth a try.
The EPROM has the program for the fuel mapping (RPM vs airflow vs O2 sensor reading). The fuel map for a non-turbo is leaner at the upper end than the fuel map for a Turbo, so there's a good possibility that you'll get knock at high RPMs and high loads.
The condensed version of all of this is, until you get a handle on it, be very careful with the timing and with your MBC setting.
