I've certainly never seen one like that. All of the OEMs I've seen have a smaller aluminum disk printed with the shift patern where the Griffin badge is on yours. The shape is a bit different too. And I've definitely never seen a wood reverse lever.
If you want to redo the finish get some epoxy bar finish. It's a two part epoxy that goes on very thick and dries very hard. You can get it at Home Depot and other home centers. Lacquer doesn't hold up very well on a shift knob. Body oils break it down.
