Since you've gotten this far, you might as well replace the slave cylinder.
I've never had good luck with sawing a slave cylinder in half - the inner piston in an OEM slave cylinder is hard steel. I've tried Sawzalls with fresh, new blades for metal, hacksaws with fresh, new blades for metal, even progressive large drill bits - all of things just ended up wasting time and money. Well, drilling it apart worked, but it took a long time and created a heck of a lot of metal cuttings that were hard to clean up.
Try the pry method for removing it.
You will need a spacer tool to go under the fingers of the pressure plate - if you don't have the official tool, a wire bucket handle bent to shape or #10 or bigger ground wire will do. Be careful with the copper because it'll develop all sorts of sharp splinters - BTDT.
Follow this link for one way of approaching removal of the pressure plate and clutch slave when the clutch hydraulics have failed. In addition to that, search for "pry pressure plate" (without the quotes) for a bunch of other peoples' experience with the same issue.
