Okay, so today I checked the pins, the upper pin is sticking up just a hair. (maybe 1-2mm) I tried to tap it in, wouldn't budge... maybe I'll have to try again when it's not raining. I also think I've got it narrowed down to being the door- slowly drove aound the neighborhood, holding the door slightly open. No noises. Then closed it and the pops are back. After parking and opening the door, I found that it wiggles slightly up and down, where the passesnger side doesn't. So are pins usually the culprit of a sloppy hinge? I wouldn't think that my pin would make a difference, only being raised a tad. Not sure.
