If you haven't had a performance alignment done (neg. 1 to 1.5* camber, max spec caster, and a pinch of toe-in) then don't bother with the front bar. In fact, even if you have done the alignment, don't bother with yanking the bar. I've played with all sorts of combos, and have recommended/recommended against pulling the front bar in the past. I am now of the opinion that poly bushes on the ends AND poly inner front bar bushings is the most gratifying set-up for a daily driver. Playing with rear tire pressures is a simpler way of dialing out understeer, anyway.
The other thing to bear in mind is that removing the front bar is a royal PITA. For me, sometimes it comes out without moving the rack, sometimes not. If the latter, then you've screwed your toe setup and need to re-align.
