Getting close to end of life for snows. Posted by Wil W [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Winter tires, James, Mon, 23 Oct 2006 11:19:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I asked a question a few months back about snows and tread depth. I'm at 6/32 and 8/32, about same depth as yours. Most comments were I'm close to the end. I'm in MN so plowed roads as well. I'm likely going to put Hak RSI's on all four this season or next. I wanted the Hak 4's, but most recommended RSI's if I'm not studding. Better general performance and designed as "Friction" winters vs "Studded" winters. Seems like the best tire choice to me, but I can't find any good reviews. other options are nearly as much and I have much less confidence in them.
I have Goodyear Ultragrip III's on 9-5 and they are OK, not as good as my old Nordfrost II's that I'm replacing.
I have also posted the previous tread I asked if your interested.
