For reference, from Saab Tech Data manual 0, stock alignment for non-SPG cars was:
Toe-in: +2mm (+/- 1mm, measured at the rim)
Camber: +0.50* (+/- 0.50*)
Caster: +2* (+/- 0.50*)
Specs vary a bit for SPG (tad less pos. camber, but still positive), manual-rack cars (tad less caster to aid steering effort), and model year.
-----------------------------
More neg camber puts more rubber on the road during cornering by getting the car off the outer edge of the tires, thus increasing mechanical grip up front, decreasing understeer. More caster adds more neg camber during cornering, and less toe-in increases the steering response.
Which is why negative 1 to 1.5* camber, max spec caster, and just a touch of toe-in is so helpful: these cars are set up to push like pigs from the factory.
For a track car seeing way-extra-legal speeds, though, I would not run toe out. In my experience autocrossing and daily-driving a couple of Saab 900s, and autocrossing a Miata, all with all sorts of stock and non-stock alignments and suspension set-ups, I have had nothing but good luck. In my experience, a custom alignment is the most beneficial handling modification for the money. More caster/camber (if you can get it) and less toe-in is a no-brainer prescription for most cars.
