I drove my first 900 to the scrap yard after pulling the entire interior (except the driver's seat), this after removing nearly the entire front end plus the hood, and exchanging various engine parts such as the distributor, clutch, brake master cylinder, etc. All those parts were to go into another 900 I had bought and wanted to restore using the best of both cars. There was nothing wrong with the body or the major components of the original 900. Though excited for the new purchase, I admit I was a little sad having to leave that original car at a junk yard. I would later go back to that junk yard and see it sitting on blocks. I'll admit part of me wanted to cry. But then I just got a hold of myself and looked at it for what it was - a piece of metal. I ended up taking more parts from it. In many ways that car still exists in the various parts I used to rebuild the one I now drive. So maybe that's what you can do - take some parts from the original and put them into the "new" used car (assuming you get a compatible model).
