It's a basic formula that states if you fix one thing, something else will go wrong to either your car or someone elses SAAB. Because I have to drive my car, I replaced the suspect fuel pump this afternoon. The continuum hates that! A dead fuel pump usually means days of delay, expensive parts purchasing and car rental expenses. I totally flipped off the continuum by not being inconvenienced. I'll be driving later this evening with heightened awareness for any continuum repercussion.
There are ways of placating or tricking the continuum, usually by leaving something wonky on purpose. Sometimes a simple rattle does the trick. Or fixes involving tape, silicone glue or JB Weld epoxy. The continuum is often confused by cheapness. The more time spent refurbishing or making things from scratch is pleasing, but also boring to the continuum so you can get away with fixes like that. Hurting yourself during a repair is also another way of placating the continuum. Pain in one form or another being the essential theme.
