David,
Possibly a silly question but, are they changing the filter with every other oil change? I run Castrol 10w30 in all of my 900 turbos and at 3000 miles it still looks pretty good and never sludges. I have a friend who used to drain the Castrol from his '88 SPG and put it in his old Chevy pick up truck. Made me cringe but he did OK. Cheers
