Sitting is really hard on cars, especially as they age. Saabs seem to like it less than most. I think it's much easier on the car to drive it periodically throughout the winter. Winter is a three month deal in most parts of the country, but even then there are typically periods where the roads are bare. I try to get my '93 TC out every three weeks, give or take depending on the weather. You need to drive it for at least a half an hour, operate all the moving parts, make sure it gets fully up to operating temperature. For prepartion I just change the oil and fill the tank to keep condensation out of the tank. Gas will last at least a year and a half without problems. Storing is tough on a car no matter what you do, this seems to work better.
