I've isolated the boost control via both vacuum and by bridging the conectors Valve still chatted away and still at base boost. I've also rechecked the continuity of the wiring from and to the APC control and I'm happy with the result. I got the battery load tested today and result good. Still the only way I achieve max boost is to block port W ie forcing waste gate shut. And I did the wrap the knock sensor in the towel thing as well.
I've noticed I have a fairly normal voltage into the control unit but it drops to about 10.5 volts at the APC solinoid with resistence of about 30 ohms . Is this normal? I still think its a fault with the APC valve as a solinoid should act imediately, if the voltage is there. I'll check output voltage at the terminals to see what that does.
Update Just interrupted solinoid voltage with cruise vacuum switch and it reacts to voltage change imediately. So I suppose that proves the integrety of the solinoid volve. Um where too next?
