Hi Justin. there are a couple of approaches. The first is to remove the shutter wheel and the take the entire assembly from one to the other. There is a tool to do remoove the shutter wheel. If you bend the wheel it's toast. If you want to do it this way I can loan you the wheel, just call me.
Another approach is to depopulate the wires from the connector. If you can slide the connector up and off the distributor you should be able to make out that there is a portion of the connector that is hinged and folds over and snaps shut. This covers the wires spade connectors and locks them in place. A steady hand and a fair amount of patience (I've seen your work first hand so know you have both!) and you can unlock and swing the plastic connector, then with small needle nose pliers of the like you can draw the wires with attached metal connector out of the shell. The three connectors are actually pushed in are the connector contacts that are used when the car side connector/wire plugs in. Often pulling one that is AFU (already fouled up) apart will give you a frame of reference to do this.
